This policy explains what information is handled when you use randomfoodsgenerator.com (“the website”, “we”, “us”). The short version: we do not ask for an account, and the food generator runs entirely in your browser.

Information we do not collect

You do not need to create an account or give us your name or email address to use the generator or the food wheel. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Information stored in your browser

To show “Your picks so far”, the website saves the names of dishes you recently generated in your browser’ssession storage. This data never leaves your device and is deleted automatically when you close the tab. Your filter choices and anything you type into the food wheel are not sent to us.

Server and hosting logs

The website is hosted by Vercel. Like most hosts, Vercel automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested in order to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse. See Vercel’s privacy policy for details.

Analytics

If we use analytics to understand which pages are popular, we use privacy-friendly, aggregated statistics and will list the provider here. We do not use analytics to identify individual visitors.

External links

Result cards include “Find near me” (Google Maps) and “Recipe” (Google Search) links. When you click one, you leave our website and that service’s own privacy policy applies.

Emails

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

Children

The website is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated.
