Fast Food Wheel
This random fast food generator spins a wheel of popular US fast food chains, filtered by what you're craving, and suggests a menu item to try, so choosing a drive-thru takes seconds instead of a long debate.
Press Spin to pick a fast food place.
Add your own local spots too. Menus vary by location; we list long-running core items. Not affiliated with any chain.
Hungry, short on time and stuck on “I don’t care, you pick”? The random fast food generator picks for you. Choose a craving, spin the fast food wheel and you get a chain plus one specific item to order, which is usually all it takes to end the drive-thru debate. If you’d rather cook, or you want a specific dish instead of a chain, the random food generator handles that side of the question.
How to use the fast food wheel
- Choose a type. Leave it on All or narrow it down with Burgers, Chicken, Mexican, Pizza, Sandwiches, Asian or Breakfast & Coffee. The chips decide which chains go on the wheel, and All loads up to 12 random chains from the full list of 30.
- Spin. Press SPIN and the wheel lands on one chain. The result shows the chain, its type and a “Try:” suggestion from its core menu. Press Another item for a different suggestion, or Find nearest to open Google Maps. In a hurry? Instant pick skips the spin and gives you a chain and an item right away.
- Make it yours. Edit the options box to add local spots or remove chains you skip. Save wheel keeps your list in this browser, Copy wheel link shares the same wheel, and Reset to chains restores the default list.
Fast food by craving
Each type chip lets you say what you want before the fast food spinner decides where. Here’s what each one covers:
- Burgers: classic burgers, fries and shakes from places like McDonald’s and Wendy’s.
- Chicken: sandwiches, tenders and fried chicken, with Chick-fil-A and Popeyes as familiar picks.
- Mexican: tacos, burritos and bowls from chains like Taco Bell and Chipotle.
- Pizza: delivery-friendly pies from chains like Domino’s, good for feeding a group.
- Sandwiches: subs and wraps from spots like Subway when you want something made to order.
- Asian: quick plates like orange chicken and chow mein from Panda Express.
- Breakfast & Coffee: morning sandwiches, pastries and drinks from places like Starbucks.
Can’t settle on a craving at all? Leave it on All and let the wheel of fast food choose everything, from the chain to the order.
Fast food spin the wheel ideas for groups, road trips and late nights
Groups and coworkers. Spinning where everyone can see it makes the result feel fair. Agree before you spin that the first result wins, or allow one re-spin for the whole group rather than one per person.
Road trips. Chains vary a lot by region, so on a long drive add the places you’ve actually seen at the last few exits, then spin. Find nearest helps you check how far away the winner is before you commit to an exit.
Late nights. Opening hours differ from one location to the next. Fill the wheel with places you know stay open late near you, then save it as your late-night wheel.
Families. Let each kid add one place and spin. Whoever’s pick wins chooses the sides, and someone else gets first say next time.
Ordering tips: value and sharing
A random pick is a good excuse to try something new without overspending. Check the chain’s app before you order, since many chains run app-only deals and rewards that never appear on the menu board. For a group, order a few mains and share sides instead of buying a full combo for everyone; pizza and family-size chicken meals can work out cheaper per person. Still unsure once you get there? Our guide on what takeout to get has more ideas.
Menus vary by location, and items change over time. We list long-running core items rather than limited-time specials, and we’re not affiliated with any chain. If you want a sit-down meal or a wheel of your own favorite places, the random restaurant picker works the same way. For a home-cooked option, try the random dinner generator.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get a random McDonald's meal?
Tap the Burgers chip and spin until McDonald's lands, or press Instant pick until it comes up. The result suggests a random item from the core menu, and Another item draws a different one each time you press it. Press it a few times to build a full meal with a main, a side and a drink. Prices and availability depend on your location.
What takeout should I have for dinner?
Start with the craving, not the restaurant. Tap a type chip like Chicken, Mexican or Pizza, spin the fast food wheel and go with the result. If nothing on the wheel fits, add your own local takeout spots to the options box. For sit-down restaurants or a longer list of favorites, the Random Restaurant Picker works the same way.
Is this fast food randomizer affiliated with any restaurant?
No. This is an independent fast food randomizer with no affiliation, sponsorship or paid placement from any chain, and every chain on the wheel has an equal chance of winning. We list long-running core menu items, but menus, prices and limited-time items vary by location and change over time, so check the chain's own app or menu before you order.
Can I add local restaurants to the fast food roulette wheel?
Yes. The options box is editable, so you can add a local burger stand or your favorite taco truck, or delete chains you never visit, one option per line. Press Save wheel to keep it in this browser for next time, or Copy wheel link to send the exact same wheel to friends. Reset to chains brings back the default list whenever you want it.
